A new Facebook feature is set to roll out shortly. (Of course, as usual, it will roll out to top agencies and brands who invest substantial amounts into their ad programs first.) The concept is being touted by many in the industry as simply: pin me to the top. In short, this feature will allow users to determine which posts made by their friends, or their favorite brands, will show up in the top of their newsfeed. What does this mean to you? Well, the reappearance of your content for one. As we all know, Facebook has been consistently buckling down on on brands visibility – forcing the purchase of ads in order for anyone, including your fans, to see your posts. So, the big question is whether or not this will eventually become an ad placement opportunity, or be controlled by the user. (And of course, then how long it will remain as such afterwards.) Only time will tell.
